First real frost of the year (11/5). That's not much of an entry, but I'll surely ask myself next year this very question.

  1. It got down to 33 degrees here (north Kitsap County) but no frost yet. I did get myself out today and put an insulating cover of fall leaves on my artichoke plants - as the freezes may not be too far off in our future now.

  2. It wasn't very hard, right at 31 when I woke, but that was enough to show off the complete lack of tolerance tomatoes have, their outer leaves have given up for the season.

Artichokes, I need to find some. They'd make a tasty permanent bed.
